Does anyone else feel overwhelmed by finances? (M)
I used to think that we were in good shape financially. But after living large and my DH's business issues, we have accrued too much debt. It's funny because when we were dating I paid off almost 9,000 in debt and he had none! Now, he has way TOO much and I (personally) have none. We own our own apartment, but there never seems to be enough money. For goodness sakes, you walk into Duanne Reade and spend 60 on stuff for the shower! How are people getting ahead? Our wedding was completely paid for so we were lucky enough to not have any wedding debt.

Sure... finances are a huge thing..and it's easy to fall into debt. Things today are waaay over-priced.. food, rents, etc... and I think most people don't relaize that using a credit card has definite reprecussions.
I personally hate credit cards.
I think the best thing to do is to keep planning. 'Failing to plan is planning to fail', as they say. If one's in debt.. it's time to just dig themselves out. People at some poitns need to take care of their money just the same as they take care of themselves.
I'm sounding like an infomercial now.. hehe.
But you know what I mean.
GOOD LUCK!!

I feel overwhelmed. I feel like I can't get ahead. I've been trying really hard not to use my credit cards and to pay double what the min. payment is on the bills I have. I HATE my studen loan. I am not using my degree and I want to go back to school to get a degree in education... which is what I wanted to do originally, but I decided to go into Hospitality Mgmt. Since I've graduated, I've taught dance full time at community centers and I now work as a Teaching assistant at a Montessori school. If only I had gone with my first instinct and stuck with it.....
