Does anyone else feel this way?

I went out to lunch yesterday with two single GFs of mine, and one of them brought a friend who is also engaged. Well, needless to say, my friend's friend, would NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT WEDDING STUFF! And it really annoyed me. I don't know why, but I just feel like I am annoying when I talk and talk about it to my friends, which I rarely do. Does anyone else feel that way? I just feel like, I would rather talk about it here, where everyone is going through it, rather than have other people wish I would shut up. But I just feel uncomfortable in general when I talk about it. Like other people are going to think I'm wedding obsessed or something. Maybe I'm just looking into this too much.....

It's just the weirdest thing, I mean, I guess it's mostly due to girls like the one I met yesterday. But also, I think it helps to have this website, so I can go on and on and on without feeling self conscious about it! Thanks LIWEDDINGS! haha

I'm the same way. I try to keep it short. But I blabber on and on with FI and my family... hehe i don't care if i annoy them.

TOTALLY AGREE...I actually shy away from talking about it unless it's with another bride or someone is GENUINELY interested.

Totally agree. When I first got engaged, it's ALL I could talk about for a while-I just couldn't make myself shut up. Not I try to really avoid talking about it. It does annoy me when my BMs act annoyed though...but I have to remember that they are all single with no plans even close...they really can't relate.

Now, I wonder if I'm annoying because I love to talk about my wedding, but I really only do so if someone asks about it, which most people do. If it comes up in casual conversation w/ a stranger I try to keep it short. Maybe it all depends on what it is you tak about?

That's why I L O V E coming on this site!!!! I can actually talk to people who understand me and care what I'm saying about weddings

Most of the time I keep quiet. Some of the girls I work with though are really into it - One of them even helped me plan my menu! (We ended up inviting her, too) Now when it's slow at work we try to get the flowers done too!

i do the same thing- some of my firends try to pry the info out of me....but i just enver want anyoen to feel funny or anythign...

I got stuck in a dinner this weekend with a newlywed who could talk about nothing but wedding plans...it really got to be too much. I love being able to talk about all of my wedding concerns/questions/issues here, leaving me able to be a normal functioning member of society!!
