Does anyone else get a rash from tanning?

I used to tan all the time, but recently when I go, I get this itchy, blotchy, rash on my arms and legs... Does anyone else get this??

Only a hyper pigmentation above my lip

I got this on my eyebrow! Looks like I missed with the pencil or something So annoying!!

I thought I was getting poison ivy, but then it was all over my legs and then my elbows and then down my arms. Then it finally hit me its from tanning. Grrr I swear nothing is simple in my life!!!

This happened to my best friend. I think it's some sort of heat rash. Stay hydrated and out of the sun - that should help. Drink lots and lots of water, and feel better!

Did you use a different sunscreen or tanning lotion? Do they still use PABA? Could be an allergy, many ppl react to that and various ingredients in sunscreens.

Also your skin can react to sun differently when taking medications (BC pills, antibiotics, even certain vitamins!)

You may have to do some detective work, process of elimination. Or consult a dermitologist.

I am on antibiotics right now, perhaps that is the reason!!!

This happen to me last yr. My back had welts on it and it itched like crazy. I have been tanning for years so I dont understand the change. I tried it a few times since and still get little bumps now and then.

I got it when I went to Florida in April, and in the beginning of the summer - thank god I don't get it anymore....and didn't get it on my honeymoon!

OMG! I have the same problem! I wanted to start tanning for the wedding but I can't b/c i get rashes on my arms, chest and even my face!! I have been told I'm allergic to the sun. So now I have no clue what the next step is. What are you doin?

Its so weird. I actually laid out yesterday without any lotion and the same thing happened. Its not so much itchy as it is blotchy and red, and now its only happening to my legs. Im going nuts here, this has never happened!!!! I might have to settle for airbrush tanning for the day of!!
