your telling someone your wedding plans and the response is.... 'you have so much time!' NOT what I want to hear!

I think most people don't have a clue!!!! I just smile sweetly and say 'I'm just so excited, I can't wait!' Seems to be what they want to hear!

I really hate that, some people are really clueless! My mom,s boyfriend is one of them, he tells her all the time that we aren't going to have anything left to do, he's NUTS!

I find myself defending my wedding date befoe anyone can say anythign for just that reason! I should be able to plan for 5 years if I want and NO ONE should have anything to say about it!

Our work is NEVER done. Even afterwards. Honeymoon, Apartment/house, kids, etc. etc.

I agree! I mean, I don't hear anyone saying, 'Wow, Rachel, you got 2003 prices for a 2005 wedding, how smart!' I mean, really. I'll have all that time now for details and planning what happens AFTER the wedding.

Chelley -- that was my absolute BIGGEST pet peeve last year!! I'll tell you this - I WISH I hadn't listened to everyone and planned more earlier. My wedding is 4 months from today and I haven't ordered BM dresses, hired Limos, taken E-pics, booked honeymoon - etc. etc. etc. Problem is - we bought a house last month and its all consuming. I'm having a lot of time management problems. There's so much to do!! So tell everyone that you don't know what exciting things the next year has to offer, so why not get a head start on planning NOW?!? And besides - wedding planning is FUN! Of course you want to start now!

I think (man mostly) don't realize what it takes today to plan a wedding. So whatever, I will just smile and say 'yeah I do but I like to have things done early!'
