Does anyone else get the feeling that Ron & Liz don't like the LDBs?

Because why else would they choose GTG dates that are imposible for a LDB to attend????

I mean really, a SUNDAY night. I would love to attend the June GTG, but I would be hard pressed to be back to the office on monday in Baltimore.

LDBs unite! We want a GTG we can attend, too.

In all seriousness, can we have one on a Saturday next time? I want to play!

I hear ya Becky. I think I'm going to have to twist FH's arm and make him take Monday off so we can go to the GTG. Kinda stinks that we have to do that, but it's my birthday weekend anyway and I want to go home! I miss NY .

Anyway, the DC brides are having a GTG this month hopefully. We're shooting for a weekend and for locations we're thinking either Old Town Alexandria or the Inner Harbor. Last time the GTG was in Maryland, so I'm thinking that maybe Old Town would be fair this time.

This GTG is being held on a yacht. We are at the mercy of their available dates. The last GTGs were on different nights. And looking into the future, well who knows! We love all and do our best for everyone. Look at the last LDB prize (not given by a vendor but us). Round trip plane tickets back to LI. And we are trying to keep the costs down. Basically our GTGs are like a wedding. Where can you have a wedding for $30/ head? No where! So, we do out best!

As someone who did event planning for many years, I know how difficult this is, and it's true that Sundays are better to get good deals for an event like this. As a LDB myself, though, I am often disappointed I can't make these GTGs.

However, as the LDB winner of the tickets Ron mentions, I can say that they are really making efforts to include us somehow...even if it took a while. LOL Of course, that said, it doesn't mean I can actually use the prize this time around, unfortunately...mainly because the GTG IS a Sunday night and FH and I will be up in NY the very next weekend, so it's just too much travel and too many days off work that we can't take, regardless of the generous prize. If there was a way for us to come, you know we'd be there!!

I wonder if, in the meantime, it might be worth having another LDB prize to make those of us who can't make a Sunday GTG from 100s of miles away feel more included? Maybe some sort of trivia contest that is only open to LDBs? And/or, maybe one of the LIW vendors would consider donating a prize to our next DC GTG? Ron, what do you think?

And, of course, I vote for the next GTG to be on a Saturday so I can actually use that great prize and attend!!

I know Saturdays must be really hard (also because that is a big day for weddings and other other events! ). But i am so bummed that i will miss out on this upcoming GTG. What a fun time it sounds like!

I think the only solution is to take Alison's prize away from her and give the tickets to me.
