I’ve pretty much worked from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. until after 6 p.m. for the last 8 years, so I can’t even tell you the last time I even had the chance to watch these shows. I know Dr. Phil’s name, but have no idea who he is or why he has his own show. I guess you could say I don’t give a rats a s s about either of them….

Oprah grates on my nerves, and for that reason I've never even channel surfed past Dr. Phil.

I can't stand Dr. Phil. And, I used to like Oprah, but then she ALWAYS had Dr. Phil on. Haven't watched in a long time though.

I liked Dr Phil on Oprah but I dont like him anymore...same stuff ALL the time!!!!!

yes, me. What world are they living in? Dr. Phil is a nut, David Letterman rags on him every night.

He always tries to make people cry & his voice annoys me too. I haven't enjoyed Oprah in years-she bores me. I don't really watch TV & I'm usually not home, but I avoid both of those shows

I will on occasion watch their shows but Dr. Phil just gets on my nerves w/ his screaming and his constant blinking. It always looks like he's got something in his eye.

I do love Oprah, but don't care much for Dr. Phil. He is always telling people to stop doing something but doesn't really show them how.

I know this is a 'does anyone hate them' thread, but I have to be the black sheep here.

Oprah is one of the most successful talk show hosts EVER.
and Dr. Phil's books are ALL reviewed very highly by readers on Amazon.

Theyre doing SOMETHING right !
Anyone who can criticize them really has to have good talk to back it up. (not to be taken the wrong way).

PS-I had to laught at the blinking part. He does blink alot. and yes his little 'wave' at his wife is corny. and his accent can be annoying. But the man is brilliant and his show seems pretty successful so far. (thanks to Oprah of course).
I dont see either one of them on the brinks of failure any time soon...

I think Dr. Phil's telling it 'like it is' is not always what people want to hear, because the truth can hurt. and being a psychologist, its in his nature to break down an issue to its core. What psychologist wouldnt ?

raves by the sheep that ran out and bought their books...still doesn't make me like them

mein kampf was/is also a best seller... (meant as a joke/to make a point...not to compare anyone to the horror of Hitler)

LOL about the sheeps buying their books. Beleive me Im not one of those sheep (you might have figured that from my thread on the Storyboard! )

I am brand new to this site, and I have to say that I thought I was the only one one who couldn't stand Dr. Phil!!! He is so condescending! For some reason women like my mother (between age 50 and 60) seem to love him!

I used to watch Oprah years ago. I cant stand Dr phil for the life of me.
