We're so tight on money right now, we dont even want to buy a tree this year. I dont feel like its XMAS at all!!!!

I wish that we could just skip the holidays this year. I usually love this season, but we're strapped for cash and stressed out since the wedding is in 5 weeks and I haven't been able to enjoy it like I usually do.

I know how you feel. Ours is not so far after. We just cant afford to do anything thats going to cost us money. Were not even buying gifts this year. This is the first year we'll probably go without a tree!

I was just talking with one of the ladies in the office... for some reason, it doesn't feel like the holiday season to me this year. We've had major family issues going on at home with the family and I feel like the time is flying.
This is my favorite time of year, I need to SNAP out of it!!

Time is really flying! I guess its cause so much is going on that I dont even have time to think about Christmas. I kinda just want it to pass and get it over with. Next year will be better for sure.

Yeah, yours is right after mine. We're doing a minimal amount of gifts and we have a fake tree from last year so we put that up. I really didn't even want to do that since my house has turned into 'wedding world' and the last thing I need is a 7 foot tree in my frikkin living room lol

at first we said that we wouldnt get eachother gifts for xmas - BUT we are both soooooo bad and spent like crazy on eachother anyway just like every year.....we just couldnt not give gifts to eachother even though we know we have a wedding to pay for.....we are really bad so for me it still feels like the holidays

We do that every year!!! We always say, 'Okay this year lets not spend a lot' and then we get eachother something crazy. This year we HAVE TO keep our promise. There is no other alternative unless we win the Mega Mils tonight

well most of you girls are getting married in a few more weeks! so it totally makes sense that it doesnt feel like the holidays for you guys....i will probably feel the same way next november/december right before i get married!

can't you just imagine. since i am 5 days before christmas i joke around and told fh that i was going to rewrap our registry items and place them under the tree for us to open on christmas day haha

Me too! FH and I lowered our Christmas limit this year and he tells me today he finished shopping for me and he went way over AGAIN!

I am so NOT feeling the holiday spirit this year! I think it's saving for the wedding and everything. I just don't have extra money to spend on people this year. I'm telling everyone to go light and get like one present for everyone. My parents are sweet and said not to worry about getting them anything but i got them gift cards to their fav stores, I wanted to get them something. Me and FH didn't even get a tree yet! It's terrible!

this post has my name written all over it. FH and i were JUST talking about this, not even an hour ago. btw. both of us working non-stop in addition to not feeling well and maintaining the apt AND all the wedding stuff - the idea of a tree give me a headache!

I decorated my entire house with my mother, me and FH have an artificial tree from last year so we put that up for us..i'm keeping the holidays music playing, I drink hot chcolate all the time, I am one person away from being done with shopping and I STILL can't get into the Christmas spirit..I don't know what it is?!?! It almost feels like i'm trying to force it and its fake or something..its getting me so depressed!!
We are so broke and we seriously cut our limit on everyoe on our list..but we have HUGE families and like to give a little to everyone..and we managed to do it for really cheap, but for our immediate families we ended up spending close to $1,000 and we really didn't have it so now we'll be paying off our credit cards instead of paying for the wedding..its just all so stressful!!! I love my big family but its so hard around the holidays!!!
