Does anyone else share my hatred of writing out thank you's?
I'm writing out my shower thank you's...
this is just so tedious!!!!
Just figuring out how to make the thank you sound special and not monotonous if a few thank you's are going to the same house - or if a few people went in on a gift! .
I knew I wasn't gonna LIKE doing this. I didn't know I was gonna want to put my head through a wall.

ugh, I hated that too!!! I thought I was done, but now I keep getting stuff in the mail

I hated it too but I accepted the presents so that's the least I could do to show my appreciation.
Just do a few at a time. While watching TV, lunch break, etc...

oh, no... don't get me wrong. I love showing my appreciation. That's not the point... I just hate the actual process of writing out the thank you's.

Is it me, or are wedding thank you's easier? For that, no one is really 'going in' on a gift together. You can pretty much write the same EXACT thing to everyone (thank you for the generous gift). And you don't have to specify 'thank you for the shower curtain. it makes our bathroom look so elegant!'. Or 'thank you for the Waterford stemware... we can't wait to toast our special occasions with them'. That specific gift stuff is what takes so long. Please tell me wedding thank you's are easier!!!

We had our e-party back in July and we're still only half done! FH agreed to write out the thank-yous for his family.... big mistake! He's a bigger procrastinator than I am!

be careful when writing them out...i got back two thank yous one from a wedding and one from a shower and in both of them they were missing a word or one line didnt make sense..lol...i guess theres just too many to write

i'm so bad, i'm STILL writting out thank yous from my july 29th engagement party!! we have 100 cards to write, well i have 100 thank yous to write lol it *****!!! wait till my bridal shower or even the wedding i wish there was an easier way

I despise writing thank you cards. It always sounds so cheesy and fake. I never know what to say. But I do it bc it's the right thing to do. Just smile and keep on writing!

well, i guess its easier in that you could basically write the same thing to everyone. but there were SO MANY MORE for the wedding than for the shower or e-party. i had to do a little at a time cause i would do 10 and my hand would hurt so much i couldnt print straight anymore! not to mention you had to make sure you thanked everyone from the RH to the person you ordered your invites from!!!

i'm not looking forward to writing the wedding thank yous, only b/c there are so many to write. from the florist to the priest, you really need to thank everybody.

I haven't even had my shower yet----i'm still receiving engagement gifts, but i already despise writing thank you's because i feel that i need to write something creative for each one, but i'm running out of new material real fast!!!! for instance, i just got the creamer for my china set....what could i possibly write for that???? we can't wait to serve milk at our next holiday dinner???!!!!!!!
