Does anyone else suffer from migraine headaches?

i have suffered with migraine headaches since i was 8 years old. i have taken tylenol, excedrin, an all natural headache remedy, aleve, advil & anything else i can get my hands on. i tried imitrex & maxalt both of which gave me muscle aches in the back on my neck. which i then had to take a muscle relaxant to control. however since i drive i had to stop the muscle relaxants.

for the past two weeks i have been getting the worst migraine headaches every single day. no matter what i take i can't get rid of them. i make sure i don't eat anything which will cause a headache & i am still suffering. anyone have any ideas of what i can do???

DH gets migraines to the point he cant function and this vein in the side of his head throbs and you can SEE IT! They seem so painful. Excedrin MIGRAINE is the only thing that hsa ever helped him. Have you ever tried the Excedrin just for migraines?

I don't want to scare you but if you've been having migraines for this long you really should go see a neurologist

Maybe you can just go to an ER and not pay the bill. They cant deny anyone and when I didnt have insurance thats what I did. May be bad advice but I think your health is more important than anything.

I have been having migraines since i was in sixth grade. THere was one month I had them everyday. I couldn't take it anymore and finally went to the ER. they gave me a shot of Compazine (sp). I then went years with out having another one. My dr told me that sometimes your body gets into a cycle and needs that shot to get out of it.

you can FM me with any questions cause I have been dealing with them for over 25 years now...been to all the drs.....

I have been suffering from them since I am 14 and w/out telling you my age I can tell you that it is a LONG time!

I have been to a neurologist and most likely they will put you on beta blockers. I was on Inderal 80m for some time. Inderal helps minimize the amount of attacks you get and eventually it is supposed to make the migraines disappear. It is a preventative alternative than to be only treating the migraine with a narcotic .. etc.

I decided one day I didn't want to be married to taking this drug. I decided to go holistic.
I researched it and came up with RAW COCONUT OIL.
Taking a teaspoon a day helped me work through the migraines and lower my pressure which I was also having an issue with.

I did this for 3 mo straight and I got the result I was looking for. Once in a while I get them again and I just take migraine execdrin I find that works the best over any prescription drugs that my dr. has given me.

You can find the raw coconut oil in a health food store or a organic grocery store. GL

I have them, and I got a new prescription for my reading glasses and had a new med prescribed by my doctor. I get them much less often now.

Have you been to your dr recently to be checked out?

IMO, I wouldn't do this. This is fraud and they will come after you for the money eventually.

Like L said that cannot deny you - ,and it is NOT fraud if you have no insurance and cannot pay the bill either - but eventually they will hound you for payments , even if it is years later. It can be $5 a week they cannot do anything to you b/c in good faith your paying. - unfourtunetly those things just don't disappear.

ah ...our country and Health insurance
