Does anyone else's FI have a clueless Best Man?

Clueless may not be the best word to describe my FH's Best Man. Let me put it this way--my FH is thinking that he doesn't want the best man to give a toast! We're a little afraid about what he'll say. I figure we'll just take him out to dinner and give him subtle suggestions.

We are in the process of writing everything out. Seriously, we have word for word directions for the band, the florist, the photographer, the best man and the matron of honor. I have even made a timeline for them all so they know where to be and when. I am making a little folder and everyone will have a list of what everyone is supposed to be doing and when. When I told my vendors, the matron of honor and the best man they were all happy about it. I figure why not just be direct and to the point rather than worrying if things will happen right and it also helps because now I know they all know what is going to be expected of them.

I know I have problems!

I actually got very lucky there. My FH's best man is great! We are not getting married till May '03 and he has already started writing his speech, he is working on the bachelor party, and is asking if we need help for anything.

Our BM is awesome, he'd do anything for us. He had a serious freak accident @ work about 3 weeks ago and got 2nd & 3rd degree burns on his face and hands. The first thing he said when he talked to Fi was 'tell Kelly I'll be all healed for the pictures'
I was thinking'wow, I must be Bridezilla'
