Does anyone ever feel like their FH

just has no clue what goes into planning a wedding?

I had a little mini-breakdown yesterday re: being stressed about the invite list, so much to do, deposits being due, our house situation and FH says 'What is there to be stresses about?' I wanted to smack him - he has no idea. I have been making all the plans, researching everything, paying all the deposits and he is off in la la land.

Mine does this to me..... When I tell him something that we decided on, he has no clue!!! Then he apologizes and says that he can't remember everything!!! Uh, thank goodness I'm planning the wedding!!!

my fh is great at trying to be part of it, but he really i think is just doing it for me and has no idea what im trying to say

Oh yes, he has no clue. But when he does offer to help with something, I refuse to let him do anything because I know he won't do it right.

OMG, I can totally relate. You should have seen his face when i told him what the dj was going to cost. Almost like he thought it was going to cost $500 or something. To top it off, he has been married before, I am guessing he wasnt too involved in planning that wedding either.
The only thing he has really been up for doing was the honeymoon, I shouldnt complain though, this way i get to do things the way i want

I couldn't agree with you more. the other night FH made me cry because i was having a mini meltdown between arguing with my Church, having to reorder the invites, calling all of our vendors to update them as to what was going on and he said i was getting overly emotional and worked up. he goes 'what's so hard about planning the wedding? it's not like i haven't been helping' HELPING? the only thing he's done is researched our HM and limos. I even had to pick out the tuxedos!

I DO!!! I was talking to FH about this this past weekend and I said to him that if I didnt do all of the planning and be neurotic about stuff then it would never get done. Of course he disagreed, but I know its true!

haha so true. Even the stuff that was supposed to be 'his stuff' - I ended up doing - honeymoon, suit, limos. He says he doesn't have time, yet he has time to watch a batrillion hockey games - uh huh

i know exactly what you are saying. i go through this with FH all the time. he just doesnt understand. i ask him things, and he says, oh i just dont worry about that. OMG are you serious! I sit and cry half the time, and he doesnt worry about a thing.. his biggest worry is what activities we are going to do on our honeymoon. LOL.
my biggest concern right now is what to write on our favors.. AHH. so, no you are not alone!

Mine definitely doesn't get it. He thinks I'm freaking out over nothing and I shouldn't worry about it. He also gets annoyed when I talk about the wedding all the time. It's consuming ALL my time - what does he expect?!

My FH is exactly the same way! He wanted to wait until October...OCTOBER!!!!...too book our HM which happens in early November. Turns out he was kidding just to get a rise our of me but I got so mad at him that I almost threw something at him. Hang in there!

All the time!! I am planning everything and sometimes I wish he would do something on his own. He just started teaching this year, so I know he is very busy. Still, I could use the help.
