Does anyone ever take Robitussin?

Nothing ever makes me tired when I take it! Not any sort of pm medication like its supposed to and when I take Nyquil it doesnt do anything for me at all. I took Robitussin last night and it kicked my arse! I took the right dosage but when I woke up today I felt soo loopy! Im dizzy, out of it, very sleepy and I have a major headache. I dont know why I reacted to it like this.

Has anyone else felt like this taking Robitussin? I just took excedrin for my headache, hopefully the caffeine in it will perk me up!

It actually has the opposite effect on me--it helps me stop coughing, but it keeps me up all night---gets me all hyped up!

sorry! Feel better!

Nyquil does that to me! Its so weird how different medications have such different effects on people.

Robitussin does cr@p for me.

Nyquil makes me a bit tired.

But FH says he felt the same way with Robtiussin as you did.

I actually prefer Robitussin over other cough medicines expecially Vicks44 (YUCK). It never has an adverse effect on me.

The only thing that works for me is Thera Flu...It makes me feel so much better and it makes me so sleepy

I have adverse reactions to medications .. nondrowsy stuff makes me tired, and vice versa! (supposedly this is not as uncommon as I used to think, according to my doc). I'd like to get drowsy, but don't like that 'loopy' feeling the next day as you described.

Tylenol PM does do the trick most nights for me, though.. just enough to get me to sleep if I'm having insomnia, but it doesn't always KEEP me asleep .. (like tonight!!! I'm wired, ugh!!)
