divide that by about 100,000 - I wonder if they would be interested in what you can do with a small budget. FH and I are putting our wedding together for about $5,000 - although we have gotten lucky with some freebies - my cousin is a professional photographer and giving us her services as a gift and our HM is basically free becuase of family and our Disney Dollars

Wow! That is awesome! You end up having to get really creative and keeping the guest list down helps alot! We are only having about 60 people.

our goal is to get a WHOLE house for 300k.......

YOu know really.....I watch Platinum Weddings...ok yes the weddings are beautiful...but some of them are just so over the top its insane.

You can have a fabulous and wonderful wedding for 15k....how about doing a damn show about regular every day people and their fabulous wedding??? Thats what I think

Oh and if I had a 300K wedding I sure as hell wouldnt need to have it broadcast on VH1

Well if it means anything, Ireland is gorgeous and much cooler!

I think as a daughter of a working/middle class family...even if I have that much money to spend, I would feel very guilty to spend it.

$300K is good down payment of a very nice house

Yeah.. it helps that the place we are having it is only $225 for the day... We tried to keep the guest list down, but FH has a HUGE family. Luckily, many of them are replying 'no'.

ummmmm....our house isnt even worth that much money!!

(but I will definitely be watching this new show!)

Yeah Peggy! I'm with you! Unfortunately they do have a show like that but it's called Bridezillas! I thought my wedding was perfect for what I wanted and the best part about it was that my guests were coming up to me and telling me how wonderful all the little details were.

If I had an extra 300K I would get it in all singles and then roll around naked in it for awhile.

Righhhhttttt......I wish.
