Does anyone get dizzy/faint when they have their period?
Lately when I get my period I have been feeling really faint and kind of dizzy. It's weird. I went on BC to help my borderline anemia, and I was fine for the 5 years I have been on BC, but lately it's been worse again...

This is the reason I was put on BC in the first place, like 15 years ago! It was so bad, and occasionally embarassing. I'm scared to go off the pill, but I have to at some point...

Did u just go back on BC? That is probably why. Your body has to adjust to the hormones again and it can take up to 3 months.
ETA: Im on the patch because the pills I was forgetting to take and would double up and then I would get REALLY naseous. Now Im naseous free

No, I have been on it for 5 or 6 years now straight (ortho tri)...I wonder if this is a sign I should switch kinds? My dr. said sometimes you become immune to some aspects of it...

When I was younger, I always got dizzy and would faint on the heaviest days of my period (I'm borderline anemic as well and the first 2 days would be such a heavy flow .. sorry TMI.. that I just would have such a rough time of it)
Since you are on BC this shouldn't be happening, though - I would definitely check with your gyno and see what he/she says about this -- as you said, sometimes after being on BC for awile you dod need to switch brands as you get older

I used to alot, plus I would get really sick & throw up. Thank god that doesn't happen any more. Could it be the pill? Maybe you need to switch it up.

Same thing happened to me. I used to pass out in the shower. I was out shopping during lunch and had to lean on something because I felt so weak. This hadn't happened in years. Ugh, sounds like back to the dr.

I think switching kinds is a good idea. Before you do that, though, you might try taking an iron supplement during your period. I'm anemic too and no BC has been able to fully 'cure' it. Iron pills do seem to help.

Same thing happened to me. When I was in High School I would get dizzy or black out at least a few times a year from my period. I just kind of grew out of it though.....weird huh. Still get awful cramps though.

I get very fainy, weak and dizzy during ym periods, so just for thosew 5 days I take a multi vitmain, a B12 vitamin, iron, and folic acid. it helps SOOOOOOOOO much. I really recommend it!
