FH and I are looking at kitchen appliances. I really like the titanium bottom freezer refrigerator but would like to know, from users, how practical it is. I love the look of it, but that is not a valid reason to buy it.

My FMIL has one. She loves it.
Her reason for getting it: 'I use the fridge more than the freezer... so why should I bend down all the time to get to the fridge'.
Me personally I wouldn't buy one cause I use the freezer just as much as the fridge... if not more.
But this fridge is practical if you don't use the freezer often.

My FMIL has the bottom freezer and hates it. She can hardly fit any meat in it and it has two drawers and if you fill the bottom drawer too much the top drawer gets stuck. She regrets getting it.

I love it. Its so true that you use your fridge more, so everything is eye level. Plus I believe its more energy efficient to have the freezer below. No compalints from me.

We have one in our house, I thought I would hate it but its really practical. I go ito the fridge like 20x more than the freezer and Its soo easy to see whats there because there is no bedning down. I wish our freezer had more room but I think alot of people feel that way! One day we will get a stand up freezer for the price club visits.

I have a freezer on the bottom and I really like it. I have no issues at all really. I love the fact that I don't have to bend down when I go into the fridge to get stuff from the bottom drawers. I also really like the fact that I don't have to dig through the back of the freezer to get something.
I also really love the look.

this was our problem... we just picked out our new frideg and b/c of where the cabinets were we had limited space to work with and could not get a side by side...
I also thought that it would be better with it on the bottom but once we looked especially with an ice maker you HAD NO ROOM to store stuff.
My DH and I shop alot in Costco and get meat etc...no way could we have fit it in the bottom one!!!
I suggest you look before you decide!

My Friend was just complaining the other day to me about her bottom freezer. She got the all stainless steel one too. She said that no matter how much she cleans it there is always finger prints on it and that the bottom freezer dosnt hold anything. After spending $$$ on it she had to go out and buy a freezer chest to store stuff in. She said she put a turkey it and there wasnt room for anything else after that. She claims she missed her side by side.

My friends feels the same way. She wished she got the side by side.

I hate it, I feel like it doesn't hold nearly as much as the side by side. I fight with it when I bring groceries home. JMO
