does anyone have a inspiron B130 laptop? (its dell)

i guess i just got a ****** one lol...mine broke a million times and so i finally got a new laptop but my problem is that i have documents on the computer that I NEED (addresses for the wedding invites being number 1) and i cant get them bc i cant turn on my computer (the piece where the ac adapter goes in broke somehow and iddiot me let my computer die out before saving these things bc i was trying to figure out why it wasnt charging)

anyways i need to somehow borrow a battery for like 5mins just so i can make a CD of my documents and pictures so i dont lose everything

is anyone willing to help?? lol im desperate!

This is VERY risky, but if they use similar hard drives, you could try switching the hard drive to your new laptop, burn everything on to a CD then switch them back.

OR, you could find someone that would lend you their Dell battery just so you can back things up.

OR, you could take it to Best Buy (Geek Squad) and they could figure something out for you - it might cost you 150-160 bucks though.

Dell laptops are supposed to be awful. I have a dell desktop that works great, and an IBM that has had a few issues but nothing major. My sister's Dell laptop has had many many many major problems. My classmates with Dell have also had huge problems.

I was told that I could get a Dell with a warranty, and WHEN (not if) it has problems they will fix it... or I could get an IBM and it wont have problems at all. Take that with a grain of salt as my IBM hasn't been perfect either, but I'd run away from dell laptops.

My friends with Macs love them. I didn't consider getting a Mac because they are not compatible with our exam software.

I live in NC, so lending you my battery is not an option! Sorry. You might want to try stopping by Geek Squad and they might be able to help you. I had an issue with my laptop a few months ago and they looked at it for about 10 minutes and helped me fix it, without charge (I guess if you have them take it in that's how it costs so much $$)--but if they just look at it at the counter, it's free.

i have an inspiron E1505 and i HATE it!!!! I have had NOTHING but problems with it and i will never get a dell again

can you go to a nearby college campus or see if a friend of yours has a battery you can swap in?

my computer had the same problem and the issue was actually with the charger. IBM mailed me a new one and it worked great, and they sent me a box to mail back the old one. My computer had some power on it but a lot of my classmates have the same computer so I could have borrowed a battery or charger.

i have a mac now (the last time it broke i vowed that it was the last bit of money that i was going to put in it, so when it broke this time, i got a new one)

i know its not the power cord bc ive tried it out on a different laptop (i had a universal cord) and it worked...the piece in the back broke somehow

anyone know if theres a place where i can buy a dell battery to just use it for like 5 mins and then return it??? or some kind of external battery??

i refuse to spend any more money on this damn computer which is why i wont go to the geek squad bc they charge 150 to backup the info on the computer
