What dresses are you choosing for them? I dont wnat to settle for a dress I dont like and I love Jim Hjelm dresses but I know they wont look good in them, so I dont know what to do. My MOH is a plus size and the BMs are all like size 2 so I want to be fair and make everyone look good and I am having a tough time finding a dress that works for everyone. Plus my sis is my MOH and she is really opinionated about what she likes and doesnt, so she isnt helping me either

I'm having the same issue... every girl in my BP is a completely different shape so I feel like it's going to be hard to find a dress that will make everyone happy.
I'm planning on going sometime this week, picking out 5 dresses with my MOH and making them all agree on one of those 5 bc otherwise I'll pull my hair out.

I'm a plus size and we just ordered from Alfred Angelo. They have some very nice A-line dresses that look good on all body types.
Try something with a sash directly under the bust line.
And since your sis is the MOH, she can have a slightly different dress from the girls.
Why don't you take your sis out to try on dresses, and when she finds on that she is comfortable in, then you can find one for the BMS that is similar.
what style are looking for. Can you post so we can have an idea. Would you entertainthe idea of picking the designer and fabric and letting your girls pick their own dress.

I would totally go for the Jim Helm dress that you love for your BMs and then find a dress that compliments it for your MOH. That way everyone is happy! HTH!

I really fell in love with a Jim Jhelm BM dress but you have to be super skinny to wear them and even some average size might need spanks with the dress. So I wound up picking a bill levkoff dress. I feel that Bill Levkoff dresses look good on all sizes. I will post a picture in a little bit.

thats who i decided to use, i felt it was more flattering bc of the material, and its two piece. i have a HUGE bridal party so I knew it was gonna be tough! i have 12 girls!!!!!
eta: my moh and my cousin picked the dress, i just picked the color. my 2 moh's are also having a train put on their dress.

I have girls that range from size 2 all the way up to size 28 and even one bridesmaid who is trying to get pregnant so she could be big and preggers by our wedding so I decided on a Bill Levkoff (actually all the girls decided on this dress, I just chose the color)

My BM's are all different sizes. So I picked a brand, color and a fabric, (Bill Levkoff), and let them pick what they would feel beautiful in. I think it's the most respectful thing to do for someone who is going to spend hundreds on a dress she may despise. I want them all to feel beautiful, and there's no way any two women will feel beautiful in the same dress, in my experience. Why make your MOH feel ridiculous? Or, if you want the same dress, why not let the MOH get a different dress, since she's the only one of a bigger size? I think it's an accepted thing that the MOH have a different dress. Good luck!

I have a plus size BM. and ordered Jim Hjelm, The best dress that makes her look thinner is in my album. It's the blue one, but I am using another color. They are also adding straps to the dress for her.

All the girls in my party are different sizes also. I am thinking of having them pick out what they feel beautiful in, but get all one color.... but different dresses.. I don't know how it will look ... I will have to see it when they have them on. It is frustrating !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the advice girls. I already went to try TONS of dresses with my MOH and she didnt like any of them My other BMs could care less in what I put them in since Ive been in their parties already and they know how it goes. So its just trying to make MOH happy but I do want the fabric and designer to match, so thats the tricky part

My best friend is in my party and she's a size 20. I chose Melissa Sweet dresses, and gave her about 5 to pick from. She picked the one she liked. HTH!

how about something like this style the first dress it is two tone and the material looks like it could be flattering for all body types
You could always pick a color and designer and have BMs choose their own gowns. I did that because my BMs literally run the spectrum and they all found something they could be comfortable in. I used alfred angelo but jim hjelm may have some more flattering styles.
It's nice of you to consider that though. I see too many photos of brides who put their poor apple shaped BMs in mermaid dresses and it just looks awful. Any woman can look beautiful if she's wearing the right silhouette, why force her into something that's hideous?

My MOH and 3 of my BMs are all size twos. My last BM, I don't even know what size she is, but it's probably at least a 20.
I thinkkkk I am going to go with a simple a line strapless (plus size BM actually prefers this she said, bc straps give her boobs 'weird folds', lol). I would like to keep them in the same dress, shes not my MOH either so I can't give her a different one.

I have ALL different typles of sizes in my BP. I opted for a 2 peice dress from Bill Levkoff with a high neck and ruching. It's style 855 and this looked great on everyone. I picked black also for this reason to slim the larger girls which they LOVED.

i was a plus size BM in my best friends wedding... this is the dress we wore... we were all plus sized and we all looked awesome in it.
i wish i had a better picture of it, but unfortunately i dont actually have any pictures of her wedding with the bridesmaids in it..
