And friendship pins.....safety pins with beads on them!
I remember one summer I went to the pool on a trip from camp, and I left my skippys at the pool and it had like 200 friendship pins on them! I cried for days, cause I felt so left out!!!

ETA - Oh, sorry, misunderstood what you wrote! Yeah, we collected them - we displayed them in our rooms, and whenever you went to a friend's house who had more, you went out and bought better ones!

i didnt do the pins but we did a lot of those friendship bands. I had so many of them on my wrist
and those slap bracelets. those were cool. I didnt speak to the little boy that lived across the street from me for a year because he took my snap bracelets, linked them all together and threw them on the roof.

Re: Does anyone have a really bad picture
boys are really mean. in 6th grade the cutie of the glass was having a boy girl birthday party and he invited all the girls except me. I was humiliated.
Many years pass and I saw him at a mutual friends party and I ignored him. he finally came up to me and asked me what my problem was and I told him what my problem was you didnt invite me to your party.
Of course we both laughed but in 6th grade that is really humiliating and can damage a person's ego

Re: Does anyone have a really bad picture
Oh big time! I remember always feeling sorry for the last picked in gym class, which was occasionally me!! I brought this up to a gym teacher I work with as a joke, and she, very seriously said 'your teacher never should have let that happen - it can really scar a child'. And you know what - it did! I hate trying new things in the form of athletics....I feel like I'm always going to be bad at it!!
