I had mine done for my engagement party. but my friend did them for me, so all i had to do was buy the hair..

in a salon they usually run like $2-$3 per strand. and you usually need at least 500 strands, depending on how thick you want it.

hope this helps!

Try Microchet there is a woman Linda who lives in Islip who does it she does a pretty good job. They last a few months. I will find her number and post it later.

If you are looking for something with a shorter life span why not try clip in extensions. They are relatively inexpensive and you can put them in and take them easily. You can even make your own.

I got extensions from the girl who did my hair, they cost $100. I know Jessica Simpson has a line that is supposed to be good, I think hers are like $80. You could also go to a beauty store and buy some. I would ask the person who you plan to use for your day of hair.

if its just for the wedding- then I'd do clip in extensions- there are plenty of good quality clip ins out there and then you don't have to worry about the damage.

If you want something that lasts longer and is more 'permanent', I can give you more info on great lengths and so cap, I've had both, FM if you want more info.

I'm getting extensions for volume as well, but only for that day. My hairdresser is sending me to a beauty supply store in Baldwin. He said it will only cost around $40.

I had them for the wedding but I had the clip on kind, they were clipped under my hair and I still have them if I ever want to use them again.

sally's has some decent ones...but id ask your hairdresser- he/she may be able to get them for cheaper- plus you want them to be comfortable working with the hair

I have actually had less damage with other kinds of extensions that I have with clip in extensions. I used them before and ended up with a huge bald spot.

I had mine done for the wedding. It was totoally worth it. My hair is sooo thin and sooo fine. I bought real hair myself and my stylist curled them before I got there. They were easy to put in and you couldn't even tell. FM if you want details about the store I bought them in.
