My mom actually lowered her cholesterol by an increidble amount just by losing some weight and being more active. She didn't really cut out that much. She actually mostly cut out bread, which has no cholesterol.
My FH has high cholesterol but now our Dr. says that they're finding that lipids aren't really the true cause of heart disease and it's not that bad. But he is trying to lose some weight and become more active. That seems to be a very good way to start. I guess if you wanted to cut out foods though, it would be any animal products

Re: Does anyone have high cholesterol?
Mine was at 290!!!! They said they'd give me 3 months b4 putting me on meds (something I was against). I started eating oatmeal every morning (it was the fall) and just being a little careful about what I ate (not to any extreme at all). In 3 months it went down to 214 (still high, but MUCH better).
I really recommend oatmeal & also that Pommegranite juice (in the little jars, comes in a few flavors). I would mix it with seltzer b/c it is pretty powerful, but it works wonders also.
