Does anyone have PCOS & a good Dr?

Does anyone have PCOS & a good Dr?

I need recommendations for both a new OB/GYN and an endocrinologist.

I'll travel. I want someone who either specializes in PCOS or at least has experience treating it as I have been having issues lately and I'm getting frustrated with feeling as if I'm under the care of doctors who haven't specifically treated the disorder and are just kind of guessing at what to do. I still see my pediatric endocrinologist who recommends that I find someone else as she isn't used to dealing with issues such as fertility in her day to day.

TIA

Endocrinologist -I don't know.

For OB/GYN...I recommend South Bay OB/GYN in West Islip. I use Dr. Ammirata, but I hear wonderful things about Dr. Lester from many people. Hope I helped! Good luck! (They're both women-I don't know if that mattered or not.)

Probably the one through Winthrop across the street from the Winthrop Pediatric Endocrinology that I still go to, but I started going there when I was 18 in my own defense. And thanks in advance!

she probably is affiliated with winthrop since my other sister was an RN there for many years. I know it's a woman, but I can't remember her name.

Dr. Michael Lydic is in Stony Brook and he's been my reproductive endocrinologist and obgyn for years and years now. He does research on PCOS as well so you may be able to get into one of his studies. I'm also FMing you!

I go to Dr. Lester and I love her! She is very patient and doesn't rush out the door after the exam. It's not too hard to get an appointment either.

Dr. Lea Squiccarini is a friend of mine from when we were kids. She is a sweetheart. I don't go to her because I would feel weird but she is a great dr.

I have PCOS and I see Dr. Rebecca Fenichel (she's a reproductive endocrinologist). She's awesome and has helped me sooo much. She's in the city and she's affiliated with NYU.
