Does anyone have pics of a cake...
with a smooth finish using Buttercream? I am not doing fondant because it's too sweet, so I heard the next best thing is butter cream. But, I want the cake to have a smooth appearance like fondant..

Is that cake frosting buttercream? If so, I am excited because that's the look that I want....

Posted by jozieb0925 Yup! That's buttercream! This is what our's will look like (buttercream as well)...without the swirly designs.

Here's a photo of our cake - sorry it's so big but you can see just how smooth it was. Everyone thought it was fondant it was so smooth.
