Re: Does anyone have really thin hair?
I wish I had tips. My hair is baby fine. It has been my whole life. If I put all my hair in a braid, it is the width of my finger.

Have you tried taking multivitamins? or B-Complex?

Re: Does anyone have really thin hair?
My hair has gotten really thin over the years. Besides using shampoos that are supposed to thicken my hair, I try not to blow dry it as often and as long as I used to. I also try not to tie it back as much either.

I have always had thin hair. I loved being pregnant because the prenatals kept my hair full. Maybe I'll try the vitamin trick.

I have extremely thin hair. I found that Pantene Full and Thick shampoo and conditioner helps.

My hair is very thin too. Usually when I dry it I brush it TOTALLY up and across my head till it's dry, then I repeat that for the other side. It gives me a little more volume.

Re: Does anyone have really thin hair?
My gyn prescribed prenatal vitamins for me because I can't handle adult vitamins with my stomach - I tried the prenatal chewable ones even though I am in no way interested in becoming pregant. He said they would also strengthen my hair and nails. (I didn't take them long enough to notice a difference.)
But, I have very thin babyfine hair, and I feel that it's getting thinner lately. My Dr. said it thins out as you get older (I'm 26 - that isn't old!) and when you take bc pills for a while. I think it's stress induced. So I cut out a lot of stresses in my life and have been taking two Flinstone chewables a day and it's looking better.

I remember reading a post about taking Biotin and that's supposed to help. I think I'm going to try it!

SOME TIPS THAT WORK FOR ME:
-v05 shamp & cond gives my hair a lot of volume.(only shamp i can use-everything else make my hair terribly thin)
-i wash my hair every other day(because i have thin hair my hair dresser told me the natural oils will help my hair)
-hair wax(i dont know the name off the top of my head that i use) i put a little of that in my hair mixed with hair gel
-VELCRO rollers helps also give some volume for a few hours lol

it's the folic acid. I have haerd takign pre-natals will help your hair for that reason. Most multivitams have it in a slightly smaller dose, or you can get folic acid supplements.

Re: Does anyone have really thin hair?
I'm in the same boat.. :( Used to have full curly hair and now its thin curly hair and seriously i think about it ALL the time...I worry about how it'll look for pictures and what i can do with it.
I have tried hair, skin and nail vitamins...didn't see a difference...and volumizing shampoos...not sure if they make a difference either. I will try the pantene products and the scalp treatment stuff.
Also...i have heard that prenatal vitamins really do help....BUT..the scary thing about pregnancy is that after you have the baby, many women lose a ton of hair because of the severe shift of hormones...GREAT.
By the time i have a baby, i'll have 4 strands left!!!

this is another reason why i'm so self conscious!!!! i know that by the time i have a baby and all is done with, i will have no hair!
