Does anyone have to pay to rehearse at their hall?
Is anyone paying a fee to rehearse at their reception hall the night before their wedding...or anytime before that? I was very surprised when I was told there was a rental fee and that they generally do a quick run through 30 minutes before the actual ceremony (except for the bride) instead. Shouldn't using the hall for 30 minutes the night before be included if you're paying all this money for a reception? I'm going to talk to our BM again...maybe he thought we were going to have the dinner there too? I don't know.
Anyone else having this experience?

I've never heard of that....our banquet manager & officiant showed our bridal party what to do on the day of - about 1/2 hour before the ceremony.

Oh I replied on your other thread, but no, we did not pay. We were told we didn't need one but we insisted and we had it the Wednesday before.

Weren't you nervous about your party only going over things 30 minutes beforehand? If I do have to pay for it, maybe we'll do a rehearsal at home instead?

I've been a bridesmaid at a wedding with a separate rehearsal, and one that was 30min before. The one that was on a different day seemed to take forever. They had it there since they paid to have a rehearsal dinner at the venue. But the one that was before the wedding was fine. It was quick and simple, just showed everyone how to line up, who you are walking with, and where to stand when you get to the altar. There really isn't any more rehearsal necessary.
