My parents have it. They switched over to it after 25 years with Cablevision.
Its actually really good, fast!!! But the channels are all different. it takes some time getting used to

I would like to switch to Fios b/c i HATEEEEEEEE Cablevision. They have been nothing but problems and its so expensive every month. But Fios is not available in my area just yet![]()

I'm in Queens now so I have Time Warner. I'd have to learn new channels anyway with Cablevision. FH would be all screwed up

My brother works at the Verizon Fios kiosk in Roosevelt Field mall. If you have questions, or are interested in getting it, you can go to the kiosk (on the 2nd floor, right outside JC Penney's) and they can sign you up, or answer questions. My brother's name is Bill.

we JUST got it .... YESTERDAY and already I can say that its 1000000000000 times better than cable (in my opinion).
Our cable service was horrible and FH's parents have Fios so we decided to try it. The internet is lightning fast and the picture on the tv is very clear. It is about 30% less than the triple play package by cable and even though the channels are TOTALLY different, you get channel guides. I have already memorized my favs (aka HGTV, TLC etc![]()

Thanks! We got something in the mail about it being less so I figured it might be something to look into. FH's friend has it and says the picture quality is better than cable!

It lags. Our service goes out all the time. Sometimes things just spontaneously disappear off of our DVR. It takes forever to change from channel to channel, the dvr isnt as easy to use as optimum and I HATE the way the guide looks. Also, our boxes 'die' all the time and they have to bring new ones, sometimes the hi def channels just dont work. We hate it.

I dont use their cable service I only use their internet
