Re: does anyone here have a hernia?
I didn't, but my husband had double hernia surgery a few years ago. He had pains in his groin area for years - made it hard for him to lift things or play sports, but doctors brushed it off. Finally he pushed it and had the surgery - they can do it laparoscopically now and he has practically no scars. The recovery period was a couple of weeks where he was in pain and couldn't really get out of bed, but they gave him strong drugs. After that he felt 100% better and was so glad he did it.
