Where I can start getting information on how to start the process of adopting a child??? I am still holding out that we will one day have a baby but I am trying to be realistic/

If you're interested in adopting a child from the U.S., try contacting the department of social services. There are tons of children that are local that are in need of a loving, caring family.

the first thing you should do is research different countries and their adoption laws. I know many countries now exclude people who have certain medical conditions. I had a friend who was trying to adopt and she actually exlcuded because she was overweight. Also many countries you have to be a minimum age.
my friend successfully adopted an 11 year old girl through foster care.

There is an entire board for adoption on there! We were in the process of applying to become foster parents and we very recently stopped in our tracks but I haven't learned much about adoption that isn't related to foster care.
