Does anyone know about portable power tools??

Im a tomboy but when it comes to this stuff im a bit illiterate.
I know how to use most power tools.. although i refuse to.. but i dunno what is considered a good brand!

are craftsman tool anygood? I dont want to ask Fh to it will ruin part of his x-mas gift. maybe u girls can ask ur FHs for me

def go w/ Craftsman! They are gauranteed for life.
Sears was having a good sale on them as well also now Kmart sells them so you may luck out there

Yeah... my FH is a Contractor and most of his stuff is Craftsmen. Check out Home Depot too

ok i am more 'Mr Fix It' than FH...last year i asked my folks for an air compressor for Christmas..haha..Craftsman are good...i know their regular tools used to have a lifetime garantee...not sure about the power ones...

Another good brand is Dewalt...i have a cordless drill by them & LOVE it!

actually this has been an ongoing joke with me and FH. he's an electrician and he wants this specific type of drill and craftsman sells it for like 50 bucks. the one he wants is $250!! the brand is hitachi. he was also looking at another brand milwakee. i eneded up getiing him the hitachi one. but i keep joking with him telling him that craftsman is fine he doesn't need the super expensive drill. what does angelo need it for? will he be using it professionally or does he just need a new tool? FH wants the more expensive one b/c he needs something reliable for his job. he said that his work buddies will make fun of him if he walks in to work with a craftsman or black and decker. but to be honest, i don't know the difference. i would just go by the brand of tools he has already.

FH used to be a rep for DeWalt and he uses all their tools and loves them! My father uses Craftsman which mostly have the lifetime guarantee - but I'm more familiar with the DeWalt so that's what I would lean towards.
