Does anyone know about the Arbertorium in Oakdale?
I know it's down the road from the Bourne and Vanderbilt mansions, but I can't remember what it's called. Anyone??? I was curious about possibly having my wedding ceremony there since the Bourne doesn't allow outdoor ceremonies! (grrrr) Thanks!

they can only hold a small amount of people for a ceremony.... I think it was something around 30 people? Maybe? I will definitely have more than that so it didn't work out for me. HTH

Okay, I figured it wasn't going to work....I am still nervous about my 200 plus guests in those 2 rooms.....I hope it will be okay. I am booking Bourne this weekend and I am sooooooooo excited....I just love the Bourne...Thank you so much for all your help...YOur the best...

Just FYI I got an email from Ben today about having my ceremony at the Bourne. He said the ceremony can only start a HALF HOUR BEFORE the cocktail hour and it's $500.
Who the heck can have a 30 minute ceremony?? First of all ceremonies NEVER start on time and my ceremony will definitely be longer than 20-30 minutes! GRRRRR
So it looks like FH and I are going to be booking with the Historical Chapel in Woodbury for our ceremony. We had hoped to have it at the Bourne to make it easier on our guests, but that's not gonna be possible.
Just wanted to give you a heads-up in case you wanted to have your ceremony at the Bourne.

My ceremony is 30 min long and it hink that is plenty of time. Unless you are having a religious ceremony it really doesn't take much to say i do. If you plan on having readings then i would deff. say 30 min is too short.
I paid $500 extra as well - it does stink but its cheaper then a church

I had my ceremony at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum last October. Let me know if you want any details about holding ceremonies there.

Yes, I would like information....How many people are you allowed, we heard 30. Is this true? Do they set up chairs or do people have to stand?
