I know there is a dog park in Wantagh at wantagh park.. its SOOO nice.. and the people there and the dogs there are very friendly but i dont know any closer to huntington..

The one in Huntington is right behind Coindre Hall (next to Gold Star Battalion Beach). We go there on the weekends all the time and you can take your dogs down to the water. Just make sure your dad has 'poop' bags. Everybody follows that rule.

We usually go anywhere from 1pm to past 6pm (the park closes at dusk) and have yet to have any problems. I don't recall seeing any signs with time restrictions. Nor have I ever seen an event at Coindre Hall.
hat doesn't shock me about Coindre...I tried calling them at least 10 times to see it for our wedding...never got a call back...until 2 weeks later...after we booked our hall
