Remote car starters? I think FH would really likw this for x-mas, he leaves so early every morning. I called the dealership where he bought the car last year, but they want $500! This seems really high to me, I understand the dealer is probably not the best route. How much should it run? TIA
My FH also checked this out. If you get it someplace other then the dealer it will void the warranty. Better off having it done there then dealing with any problems in the future.

My DH got one and had it installed and a place next to the Attias flea market--I think it was $100 for the thing, and then $50-75 for installation. He doesn't really use it much, but it is nice for the really cold snowy days!

My sister, mother and father all have remote starters installed on their cars last year and love them. I think it cost around $150 each but it is so worth the money in the winter.
I have one and LOVE IT. I can start it from my apartment AND from my office on the second floor! My brother got it for me at, I think Audio Design, in Hicksville last year and it was about $200 total I think installation included.
My brother had one installed in my moms car 2 weeks ago for $200 in Riverhead. Just know you need a spare key that goes in the starter...
