Does anyone know Hicksville?

We may consider Hicksville as one of our possible towns to move too.

We don't know a lot about this area, can anyone give us information.

Thanks so much.

Re: Does anyone know Hicksville?

i'm from bethpage, which it borders, & I am getting married in Hicksville.
Its a big town, so difernt areas have different characteristcs. Friends of mine have a nice house witha big yard, near the Levittown parkway.

Since it is so big , the school district is big, & when I was in HS in the 90's Hicksville High School didn't have the best reputation but I don't know how true that is or what it is like now.

The Hicksville train station is actually a stop on 2 diffent lines so the train times are better than Bethpage. And the Broadway mall & Ikea are in Hicksville. And there are a lot of churches.

Its big & spread out, not a little village with a 'main street' type area.

Have you looked into Bethpage at all? I'm not sure how the house prices compare.

I grew up and still live in Hicksville. Ask away...

We plan on getting a house here or close-by in a few years to be near my parents for when we have kids.

I am from Hicksville too... been here for 28 years so ask away.. I really can't tell you too much about the school since I went to Catholic school all my life...The neighborhood has changed a lot thru the years...
I honestly don't want to buy a house here just b/c I want a change after living here so many years.

I think the neighborhood is a bit overpriced in certain areas...but it is still nice. We love living here. The only reason I'd go a few towns away is for a change.
