Does anyone know how PrincessRose's (sp?) Dad is doing???

Remember she posted he was rushed to the hospital? Haven't heard any updates yet...

Dad is doing okay. The doctors still don't know what's wrong with him (or at least that's what they say). The doctors were saying Pancreatitis, but for some reason now they've retracted that. My personal guess as to why is because the Pancreatitis was most likely caused by the medication he was on for the Collitis, Rowasa. Here's the conversation with a physician's assistant who came in.
PA: Mr. C, do you drink?
D: No.
PA: Any problems with Gall Stones?
D: No.
PA: Well Mr. C, it's like this. The number 3 cause of Pancreatitis in the US is Rowasa. We just ruled out causes 1 and 2.

But now, they're saying that it isn't Pancreatitis, even though his work up showed elevated Pancreatic fluid levels. ::elevated eyebrow:: Hmmm, are we now thinking 'Maybe we shouldn't have prescribed this medication that gets people sick?' Yeah, there's a thought.

Anyway, Dad's been pain-free for 48 hours, and if it stays that way he can go home tomorrow. Even though they say they don't know what's wrong. OK. I've decided not to argue.
