cigarette smoke out of paper? I need these for my wedding and they now smell like cigarette smoke, which is unacceptable to me. I've tried Febreeze (leaves a mark as it's oil based) and linen water (not strong enough). My next try will be some type of perfume, although that will only cover it up. Anyone have any ideas???

OK, this is going to sound weird, but give it a shot.
Put the paper that smells like cigarette smoke into a tupperware container.
Add crumpled up newspaper.
Close container and leave alone for a half a day or so.
(This trick works to remove smells from tupperware -- like garlic or tomato sauce or any kind of strong-smelling food. So it MIGHT be worth a try for you. Not sure, though.)

Put the paper in a zip lock bag or a big bag with a few sheets of fabric softner in it. If possible leave outside for a while.

This might sound silly, but you know the dryer sheets called Dryell? You could also try to do something with them. Take one or 2 of your smoke smelled papers and place them in a laundry bag or a white pillow case saftey pinned closed.
I'm a quilter and a smoker. I didn't realize that when I would quilt, the smoke would get into the fabric until I went to wrap it as a gift. Needless to say, NO smoking in the house anymore.
Good luck!

Try dryer sheets...that sounds like a good idea!!! Good Luck!!! Do NOT do perfume though...it will stain it!
