Do I have to get a special machine for it? Is there an easy way to do it? I always boil the rice, is that unhealthy for you? Please help

I purchased a small bag and it was yucky and I am good at cooking rice, I think it is so hard to cook. Sorry Have you tried any of the recipe sites

I use the boil in a bag brown rice, I think its by Uncle Bens. Its really easy to make, and I think one cup is three points.

I've never heard of steaming rice. I usually boil both brown and white.

I found this, but I'd get a machine. I hear they are foolproof....
Steamed Rice
ingredients for 4 servings: 1 c Long grain rice 1 x Salt (optional)
Preparation: Rinse rice well. Combine with water and salt, if using, in a 8 cup microwaveable casserole. Cover and microwave at high for 5 minutes, then at medium for 8 to 12 minutes or until most of water is absorbed. Let stand covered, 5 to 10 minutes to absorb remaining liquid.
Edited to say - It doesn't say how much water! LOL thats not a typo, hmm maybe just enought to cover?

i always cook rice, and it's 1 cup of water per half cup of rice.... it needs to soak in i think...........
