a born again christian marriage is considered a sacrament? I want to get married in a RCC and my FH is divorced and they asked if his marriage was a sacrament. I'm thinking no, but I don't know for sure...does anyone have an idea???

I think marriage is a sacrament if it's done in any church because technically you are then married in the eyes of God.

I think the question to ask them is if they (RCC) view marriages in other churches (Born again, Luthern, Methodist, etc.) as sacraments.

My thought though is that it's a sacrament, no matter the church..because you do your vows before a minister in a church and 'in the eyes of god'.

I think as long as you arent married in a catholic church prior you are ok- but the priest should be able to tell you

I talked to my FH church and was told that we could not get married at the church unless my first marriage was annulled by the church for a 'fee' for 1500.00 & ,my first wedding was in a town hall. i would def check with the church and see what they say!!
