Does anyone know of a great spot for an outdoor engagement picture in nassau or suffolk?
We are taking our engagement photos next week and the weather is suppsoed to be nice - I heard of a place in garden city - but any other suggestions?

that's where we did ours but one of you needs to be a resident for the permit... honestly no one bothered us and asked for it so you can always try your luck if its during the week. You could play dumb that u didn't know.... u should be fine

try old westbury gardens i know they have a fee that is where we are shooting our photos for the wedding but fh and i just went today and went to port jefferson by the water in the village it was awesome

I am in the same boat. We are taking e-pics sometime in spring 2010.
Old Westbury Gardens cost $$. i think it isnt that high. Other Nassau county parks require residential permit or charge several hundred dollars...
How about the Gazebo on Stewart Avenue/Franklin Avenue in Garden City? Or if you are open to Queens - Flushing Meadows Park?

I can't imagine they'll bother you for it. I've lived right around the corner my entire life and I've only ever been hassled for the permit once, and that was at the peak of beach season

I second...its beautiful there and not expensive at all! I think they charge per car if i remember correctly

Argyle Park in Babylon or Venetian Shores in Lindenhurst (they also have a park right next to the beach)
