Does anyone know the fence laws in Levittown?

We have a corner house and are putting up a fence. I hear it has to be a certain distance from the curb if its a corner and a certain height?

I used to rent an apartment in Levittown so i know I'm gonna love having a house here. Its a great location. Close to all.

We just moved to Levittown too. We live off of Wantagh Avenue, by Island Trees Middle School.

im in levittown now and im buying a house closing hopefully september 15 just around the corner where i am now. we should have a levittown gtg for sure.

I'm on a corner in the Town of Hempstead and just got a new fence this week. We went with the 4' fence and then our landscaper put in tall arborvities to create privacy in the yard. You can have tall trees or bushes without a permit, but you need to get a permit for a 5' or 6' fence, but being on the corner, part of it can only be 3' high. They'll send you info including a schematic of what you can and can't do.

we are installing a fence by the end of the month. We are using Carl's Fence. we priced around and they gave us the best price.. We are getting PVC in the front and stockade around the back. ( we are right next to a pocket park in the neighborhood).

Word of advice,I live in the Town of Oysterbay and we had to get a permit (125). Alot of the fence companies said don't bother (which we thought was shady) but Carl's fence said we should get one. Once the fence is done the town comes and inspects it and gives us a certificate. So if you ever sell your house you have proof that it is legal.

I would check with the Town of Hempstead if you need one.
