Does anyone know the instructions on stuffing envelopes?

I am doing mine this weekend and I was told there is a specific way to do this!!!!

Rose.. I didn't give a flying flamingo about etiquette. I put the response card in the response card envelope flap & put everything else in size order.

in the inner you put in the invite writing side up, the direction card(s), the reception card (if there is one) and the last thing is the response card....tucked, writing side out, under the flap. the first thing they should see when they open that inner envelope is your response card (writing side).

put this in the outer envelope with the name side facing you..so that when they open the outer flap, they see their names again on the inner.

i don't know about right or wrong but here's what i did:

response card under envelope flap (but not inside envelope) under the flap of the response card went the direction card & hotel info.

Trust me it doesn't really matter. No one knows if it's right or wrong when they open it. Just don't forget to include the direction card. I DID THAT WHEN I SENT OUT MY INVITES! OMG DUH!

I did that too

I just realized it as you said it - I did my invites last night and they are all sealed....
I have the address to the church on the invite...I guess I will make a sheet for the reception and have my jr usher (nephew) hand it out at the church. OOPS!!!!
