Does anyone know the 'technical' name?

i want to make 'honeyballs' for Christmas like i used to make with my grandmother and great aunt. i can't remember the technical name so i can't find a recipe - they were little balls of dough that were fried and then you piled them up and poured lots of honey on top of them and them sprinkled them with sprinkles. you seem them at bakeries this time of year.

anyone know the technical name??
