I think that's an older song by Journey. Think it's called 'Faithfully' but I could be wrong.

I think my FH is whacked out, he keeps picking the most random songs for us as a first dance...

FH suggested that song for our first dance as well but it's very important to me that the lyrics apply to us as a couple.

Anyway I'm listening to it the other day and realize that pretty much only the chorus is relevant. Everything else is about a musician asking his gf/wife to stick by his side as he goes on tour. Definitely not our situation!

I think this is a guy thing. My FH keeps picking songs that he likes the sound of and I'm like have you listened to the words??? The lyrics should apply to us and he doesn't get it!

My FH keeps picking break up songs that are slow cause he likes the music. Sometimes, I think he is trying to tell me something!
