Does anyone know where I can get a Pug??

I'm looking for someone that u would recommend that sell Pugs!! I'm in the market for a dog for my Fiance and I!! Please keep me posted if anyone know of someone i really don't want to go to a pet store cause they are like puppy mills!! Thanks again

Do check the news paper. A friend at work just in Dec got a puppy pug from a home breeder. She was located in Brooklyn, but so worth the drive. I see advertisements all the time... Just make sure you ask if the puppy is coming with papers, that you will want to see the parents (so you know they are pure breed as well), look at the home you are purchasing from. If you find it dirty and not well kept, nor will their puppys. I have three pure breads - Dachsunds and are all from home breeders. I always made sure I looked at the big picture, not just the cute puppy. No wants to pay the vet bill for a sick pup! This is my advice! Good luck in finding your little one. Gotta love dogs!

How about Shake a Paw? There is one on old country road in Hicksville and one in Lynbrook on Merrick road.

You should see my cube in my office....I have pictures of Pugs all over...and a Pug calendar...

Alot of small dogs snort...Its because they have small lungs. Danielle's yorkies snort....Its really cute, and my friends mini chuihua snorts too.

Pugs are just very loving, mushy dogs....the thing is they have to be in a househole where people will have time to spend with them. If you work full time, and you are never home then I suggest not getting one.

Ummm, we work 60 hour weeks and have two pugs and they are OK! In the beginning, as with any puppy, it was hard...

We also have two pugs, and sometimes DH will take them to work (he a vet, so they hang out at his practice), or we'll leave them in their 'Snuggle Shack' (big crate) which they love. They run into it all the time.

I'll ask my DH about some local pug breeders, he has all that info at work.

We crate them...we also have another dog, a rat terrier. We bought the biggest crate you could get and they all sleep in it together! I think there is enough room for like 5 more...atleast!

Thanks for all the information my future in laws have one and he is so cute!! So i think i will look around this weekend in the paper they are alot of work but i also have a english bulldog Emmett so he could use a play friend!!

Denise, have you tried looking for pug rescue societies in your area? Do a Google search and see! (Not sure where you live otherwise I'd search for you!)
