Does anyone know where to get an inexpensive envelope box?
I would rather buy an inexpensive one then rent one. I didn't want the wishing well one. Thanks

I haven't started to look yet, but someone suggested I go to Michaels, and get one of their decorative (hat) boxes - then I plan on decorated it a little with some fabric, just so it's not too plain.
I saw one in Fortunoffs for $80 - way too much for what I wanted to spend

For our Engagement Party we wrapped an empty box and put a slit in the top with a bow. This way we could put it on the gift table and have it look like a normal present.
I heard (from this board, actually) of horror stories of people walking off with recognizable envelope boxes (the wishing well, birdcage, etc.)
Another option would be to check with your hall and see if they offer something. Ours have the cages and things that actually look like mailboxes.
Good luck!

My friend is a card box guru!! She's made 2 for friends, and I HOPE that she makes me one!! The last one she made was, as Teri mentioned, a decorative hat-type box from a craft store. She then stenciled flowers on it and painted their names and wedding date. She also painted on a love quote. It was beautiful and inexpensive!!
