Does anyone live in Long Beach?

We may be moving there. Do you like it?

I don't, but have friends that do that I visit, they LOVE it, and so do I actually. But FH wouldn't move there since he works in Port Jefferson.

my cousin/MOH lives in Long Beach and loves it! Her building is right on the boardwalk it's fantastic.

I do! I have been there 4 years and I really love the town, I love having the beach up the block and they also have a lot of fun stuff going on there, especially in the summer like free beach concerts, volleyball leagues, and I love that you can pretty much walk or ride a bike anywhere. My only issue with LB is that its annoying driving in and out of it because it's kind of out of the way of everything. I have about a 2 hour commute everyday and its a pain when I have to go visit family but besides that, I love it! FM me if you have any questions!

In the State Streets...Louisana Street.

the state streets are in the west end which is a lot of fun! I lived there for a year before FH and I bought a house on the east end. I miss the west end though, you can walk to pretty much everything! Only thing that stinks is the parking in the summer but it's so worth it!

sweet... i love the state streets... Shaun has a bunch of cousins that live there... i dont think any live on Louisiana... but its the most fun area of LB...

I live in long beach. I love it for all of the reasons posted above: beach, activities. FH and I ride our bikes everywhere. We don't have such a problem with traffic because we live on the east end in a residential part. We're a few blocks from the beach, the closer you get the more trouble you're going to have finding parking in the summer.

I live in lb down in the state streets........I loved lb but hate it down here.....there is NEVER any parking (we both own nice cars) and they are always getting scratched and dented from drunk people trying to park and leave the bars. Some of the state streets are narrow and there is only parking on one side of the street,, which makes it hard to drive down and there is absolutely NO privacy bc the houses are soooo close together.
