ahhh I was going to ask anyone who lives close if they could pass Vetro (one block down) and see if the construction is complete. LOL. I wanted to know how it looked from the outside - our eparty is there in 3 weeks!!

My condo is in Lindenwood, Howard Beach so I will probably be swinging by there later today on my way home (I already moved out and in w/ the FH and trying to rent it out). If I get pics, I will scan them in and FM you.
From what I remember when I drove by it this past weekend, the entrance leads straight to a bank of gold covered elevators. The inside is a bit dark.

Hey I live right there! Funny you should mention it, I checked yesterday and they are done! The restaurant opens this Friday. It looks beautiful, they have trees and flowers outside

I went to a party at Vetro on Sunday!! It was my cousins daughters Christening. The room was on the second floor. Everything wasnt ready yet. Theres 2 rooms in the second floor and only the one we had the party in was ready. The ballroom upstairs was still not ready. From what the peple said, we were the second party they had. I heard there grand opening is going to be on Thursday. The party was great. Food and service was wonderful. I had a great time.

go to the russos website (www.russosonthebay.com) and on the bottom right, you see VETRO. click on it. no new pics have been posted though

Restaurant officially opens on Friday. There is 2 rooms, the big one upstairs and the wine cellar downstairs....we are having the wine cellar room, we liked it more and it was more our style....the restaurant isn't open yet! Thanks for the info!
