Does anyone live upstate?

I mean upstate upstate. Not Westchester! I now live in Woodstock NY was wondering if anyone else lives up in the sticks like me!

I don't live upstate, but but I felt compelled to answer because FH's family has a house right there. West Hurley I think, but we are always in Woodstock when we go. We LOVE it up there. He actually wanted to get married at Opus 40 and have it catered by New World Cafe. We couldn't even think of it because of family that can't travel. We'll probably be up this summer (hopefully a few times).

Thats so funny we looked at a house in West Hurley. Its really nice there. I moved up here once we got engaged and told his friends and family if you want to come to the wedding you must come to LI. Opus 40 is nice. They just dont have anywhere in the area really to get married so LI was a much better idea! Hope you enjoy your visits!

We are looking to move upstate b/c we can't afford LI and don't want to be too far from family. Maybe we will be neighbors one day

We live right outside Albany for now. I just finished my third year of grad. school at SUNY Albany. I still have two more years left, then we will have to decide if we want to move back to LI by our families or stay up here.

No but my parents have a second house in Harpersfield which is about 15 min from Oneonta

My FH is from WC and gets so mad when I call it upstate -- in all fairness he grew up where our summer house was so to me that was 'going upstate to the summer house hahaha'

My dad has a vacation house wayy upstate in Gilboa... We try to go up every weekend, but FH and my work schedules changed and I have work on Sat and he works on Sun.... Grrrr I guess paying for that house for the year was a waist!!

FH's family has a second home on Schroon Lake we love it up there and he wanted to get married there but i told him no my fam wont travel all the way up there, unfortunately we wont make it up there this summer to much going on with the weddign

I have family up in Orange County. We are planning to move up there, around newbugh or middletown in a few years.

Isnt Newburgh where Orange County Choppers is?? My friend and I were joking how DH and I were going to move in w/ Mikey Tuetal and he and DH were going to be BFFs b/c they are both doofuses
