those little ones with the melted chocolate oozing out? Bn Appetite has one on the January's cover but it uses some heavy spices that I'm not interested in - cardamom, corriander and white pepper. I guess Icould leave them out and use vanilla, but I'd rather start with a recipe that isn't formulated for something I don't like. Thanks.

Do a search on FoodTV.com. Gale Gand has made them on her show 'Sweet Dreams'. Basically all it is is undercooked cake, but it sure is yummy!!!
Be prepared for the shock of the ingredient list, I have never used so many eggs before in one recipe!!

Yes, my favorite!!! But after trying a real recipe and not doing so well we ordered the pre-made mix from William Sonoma and its AMAZING!!!
I saw on one program...that if you under cook a chocolate based cake...you can get the molten effect...
also...nutmeg can be substituted for cardamom

Search here for the Hot chocolate and grand Marnier cupcake recipe. I just made it and my initial batch was not molten on my first try - but it was still delicious. But my next try, it was molten in the middle. I figured out the key was to make sure you refrigerate the batter for at least maybe 1-2 hours so that the batter hardens before you bake it. And you must watch it while baking to make sure you don't overbake. Good luck.
I'm sorry but I can't come up with either search suggetion - the Sweet Dreams recipe or the Hot chocolate cupcakes on this site. I would love more help, please.
I am absolutely certain the William Sonoma Mix is excellent, all their products are, but I want to try my own first.
