mine is a cap sleeve v neck from monique lhulier. not to worry 2005 is supposedly the year of the halter top so straps are in.
this is a picture of another bride in my dress - I am not sure who she is or where i found it.

I tried on one strapless dress and didn't like it on at all (I hate my arms).

I am getting married in November, I really felt that a strapless dress was inappropriate. When I went shopping all I found were strapless, I really wanted sheer sleeves. The only dresses I found with sleeves were reallly cheesy 80's style dresses. So now I basically have a gown with tiny little straps that rest on my shoulders.

mine has long sleeves... i realized after i bought it, sleeves 'run in the family'... my mother wore sleeves, and most aunts wore sleeves, b/c we like to be more covered up in church...

I personally do not like strapless.. .BUT could not find a SINGLE one that looked good on me that WASN'T strapless... so I got a strapless one... but think I am going to add spetigitti straps.

I also noticed alot of strapless dresses when I was looking for my dress. I think strapless dresses are beautiful. I actually bought one with off the shoulder sleeves, a style I never pictured I would be wearing.

Thank god!!! Hello everyone!!! I am so glad to see nonstrpless dress wearers!!My goal was to find a dress with cap sleeves-off the shoulder. I cannot post a pic of it for 2 reasons. 1... I live with my FH and if he ever saw it, I would die and 2...the picture gives the dress no justice at all. When I went shopping and when they asked me what I was looking for and I said NO STRAPLESS the women almost fell over. I wanted to be different. It is too common and I wanted to be unique. I was so happy when I found it because it was everything I thought I wanted. I was not the girl who tried on a dress that I thought I would not like, I was the type who had an idea in my mind and that is exactly what I got. I cannot wait for it to come in!!!!!

I didn't want strapless originally but that's what I ended up ordering, it was the only dress that I tried on and loved the minute I looked in the mirror!

I love the dress above!

I actually wanted something with a V neck or off the shoulders (those make your waist look smaller).

The ONE ended up being a strapless gown, but I think the non-strappless look is beautiful.

You're not putting on a fashion show of the latest styles (unless that's your personality, and that's fine). Remember, a wedding dress has to fit YOU -- not just physically, but your personality as well.
