If so, how many GB is it and do you think it is enough? Also, do you put anything other than music on yours? Someone said on the radio that they put audio books on it. I thought that was a great idea.

An audio book is basically an audio tape of someone narrating the book. I guess that you could probably download them off the internet too. See, my initial reaction was that 5000 songs is a lot and do I really need all that memory. Then I started thinking about all the stuff I could put on it and it doesn't seem like that much memory anymore

For 100$ more you can get the 40 GB--10000 songs! that's 25% more $$ for 100% more music

I have the 20 gig model... I have 650 songs on it and it's only used up 1 gig, so I imagine 20 gigs is more than enough to hold a digital book.

I was just setting up DH's partner's wife's mini-iPod (just over 4 gigs) and that thing is awesome! (It was a birthday gift from her hubby, but he's computer illiterate. )

Do you need high speed internet access to download songs from the apple site? Or do people still get songs from places like Kazaa? I am thinking of getting one, but dont know if I want to invest the time downloading songs. Also, can you hook the ipod up to your car stereo? I am clueless about these things-technophobic
I love audio books-they are what keep me sane on my 1 hour commute to work!

You don't NEED high speed. I usually just pick a bunch of songs to download and then walk away from my computer. It only workd with the Aplle Itunes, the songs are $.99 each but it is GREAT. You definely get one
