Does anyone own EMU Australia boots instead of UGGs??

I'm seriously considering getting a pair (and I don't care who thinks they're ugly! ) but I want some feedback.
Are they warm? Waterproof? The Bloomingdale's website says nothing about them except that they're shearling. And I can't find anything else about them online.

We've got a ton of snow here in Maine and I definitely need something that can take a beating.

I had them.

got them last year.

they are the same as uggs and as expensive.

They (and Uggs) are not waterproof.

the padding on the inside gets smashed down as you wear them- and aren't as comfortable anymore.

also- they are REALLY wide.. makes your feet look gigantic.

I just threw my pair out- got Timberland Mukluks now- MUCh better

edited to add- if you are in Maine- get the Timberlands...

I was impulsive and just ordered them before reading your review.

I had a store credit for Bloom. that was the exact same amount as the boots with shipping so I just figured it was a 'sign.'

Oh well. If I don't like them, I'll just send 'em back!
